Police: Men stabbed warden’s goats

Two Hartland men have been arrested and charged with burglary and cruelty to animals after police say they were involved in stabbing two goats owned by a game warden. On Oct. 30, State Police responded to the West Windsor home of Warden Steve Majeski who told them he had returned home from his shift and saw human foot tracks across his lawn. Majeski discovered that his small barn where he housed three goats had been entered. Two of the goats were stabbed. One died before police arrived and the second survived, according to State Police.

Nick Ashline, 33, and Daniel Perry, 20, were arrested and charged. They will appear in Windsor County criminal court Dec. 20.
