Located, Missing Bridgewater Resident

Bridgewater, VT – 7/24/12 – Today, at approximately 12noon Terry Copley, age 73 of Bridgewater, was located just over a half mile from his residence, approximately 200 yards off the west side of Gold Coast Road. Mr. Copley was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to received medical treatment.
Yesterday, July 23, 2012, at approximately 3:00PM, a family member reported Terry Copley, age 73 of Bridgewater, missing. Copley was known to have medical issues that make him confused at times. The Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks with the assistance of the state police Search and Rescue Team, Vermont Fish and Wildlife and the Bridgewater Fire Department immediately initiated a search for Mr. Copley.
Search activity continued through the night; while simultaneously plans were developed to increase search efforts for the morning of July 24.
This morning a heightened search was initiated and included 40 individuals from the Vermont State Police, Fish and Wildlife, and the Bridgewater Fire Department and, nine K9 units. An Army National Guard helicopter was arrived in Rutland to assist in the search operations, but was unable deploy to the scene due to inclement weather.
